When God Speaks

Instincts are a funny thing so when asked if I trust my Instincts, the answer is I should. The truth is a lot of times I ignore them. Why? Well, I might want something that is not good for me so in order to have a semi-clear conscience after obtaining whatever it may be, I must ignore my instincts to go after it.

I believe instincts are the Holy Spirit trying to tell me something. Where to go? What to say? What to do? He speaks to us showing us the way. The choice is up to us whether we listen or not. The Word tells us that we need no man to tell us for the Spirit residing within will tell us all things, I John 2:27. There it is, the Spirit, being truth, will tell us all things and even of things to come. Some may call this telling instincts, but no, it is the Truth living within that tells you things, right things.

Now, believing this I should listen and obey all the time. Yet, there are times my flesh rises up and pushes the Spirit to the side. Are there regrets? What do you think? Next time you hear or feel that thing, Spirit, stop, listen, and obey. Be blessed.
