My place for reading & writing would be a place of solitude and peace for me to stow away. The problem is I might never return. But, one can dream, right? So here goes.
This place would be a 12 x 16 taupe colored building with 2 windows on each side for fresh air if desired. The trim would be chocolate. A barn style door that locks, of course would be a necessity. Inside I would have shelves and bookcases. Also, I would have bins to put created items in. My walls would be decorated with art that I create.
I would have 2 rooms and a bathroom. One of the rooms would be the craft room. The other would be the reading and writing room. The reading room would have a nice recliner there and a small table with a lamp that has dimming capabilities to unwind if needed. The bookcase would hold all my devotion books, journals, Bibles, and so forth. My laptop would sit upon the table with a printer close by. All my writing supplies would be there as well. A plush carpet would be on the floor of the reading room. White, I believe, would be the color matching the aqua colored recliner. This recliner would recline all the way back to a sleeping position if desired. It would rock, swivel, and have charging capabilities built in. Oh yes, I must have a CD player for music if I desired. Music can soothe the soul and Lord knows, I need soothing much of the time. The walls of this room would be decorated with scripture that I have crafted on boards and canvas.
The craft room would gave a long work table and a comfortable chair for working. The shelves in this room would hold crafts that I create. There would be an area of open storage where I would keep my supplies. The floors of the craft room would be wood. And, of course, I would need a desk with a lamp and supplies for shipping and inventory because hopefully I could sell some crafts.
The bathroom of course would have a large sink for cleaning, a smaller sink with mirror above and a toilet, of course. I am not much concerned about this room. Just necessities. I would have a closet to hold cleaning supplies. I must not forget heat and air conditioning throughout.
This place would be paid for in full. Outside would be decorated with beautiful flowers and a lamp post light beside the entrance where mail is delivered through the slot in the door.
Last, but not least would be the burner that creates an aroma of tranquility throughout the place. This is my perfect stow away place.
