This may not be considered something to uninvent, but it is something that people came up with that would have been better left alone.
There are so many church denominations that I have lost count. Anytime someone gets upset over the smallest thing a new denomination springs up. Why can we not accept others differences and realize we do not have to agree with them, but we must still love them. I can hear someone saying now that I still love them just can’t be around them. I have a hard time believing that because love seeks the best for others, rejoices with them and always puts others first. How will you rejoice with someone when you cannot stand to be around them? I understand toxic relationships need removed, but who makes the relationship toxic? Could be you, just saying. I also understand that we do not want to be another’s doormat, but the Bible tends to lean toward that philosophy. Put others first, give your best, seek the best for others all point to putting others above yourself. This is not being another’s doormat and if you think it is then how many doormats do you have?
Getting back to my uninvention, churches formed from breaking away from the body they were in to go their own way is not Biblical. This is the major reason we have so much prejudice in the body of Christ. We are taught that if you do not agree then leave. No, we need to accept that we are all different and people make mistakes and learn that is ok. There is not one person that agrees with everything in a church, but we are together there to grow and help others grow and stay the course. Our focus should be on God, not church members. I believe we would find a lot more comradery and unity if we did. And the world would be a better place.
