I love creating things. I never knew I liked it until about 4 years ago when I needed something to fill a void in my life. Believe it or not, house cleaning was at one time something I enjoyed doing in my free time. But, those days were over so having an empty garage I set out to find that ‘something to fill my time’ and crafts came out on top.
All types of crafts I dabbled with and found so many different ones that I enjoyed that I had to apply the brakes. I never knew we possess so much creativity. I put quotes on wood plagues, I made canvas pictures and door hangers with newborns names and birthdates, I made kids names on wood for hanging, I made keychains out of epoxy resin, mushroom storage jars, tiny storage pots, pictures from diamond painting, abstract art, coasters, and furniture rehab. Oh, I can’t forget Deco art, chess boards from epoxy resin and jewelry. I created so many things that I ran out of room to hold them. So, I rented a storage unit to house them thinking I would sell some if possible. Still plan on that eventually just haven’t got around to it yet.
Finding something you enjoy while making money from it is a double blessing. Everyone may not like the things I make, but someone out there will. One woman’s junk is another woman’s treasure so I’m not stressing too much over it. Money would be nice, but loving what I do is better. Especially when it is my leisure time I’m talking about. Anyone out there interested in buying some crafts?
