The Main Attraction:

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is roughly 10 miles from me yet I have never visited this awesome place. This attraction hosts Space Camp and you can fly shuttles and rockets training like an astronaut. This place holds the largest number of rockets and Space memorabilia than anywhere else in the US. Yet, I have never visited. People come from all over just to visit the Rocket Center and learn about outer space. I take this place for granted assuming it will always be here and I have time to get to it.

Funny how places and people close to you are most times taken for granted. We assume that they will always be there. We seem to believe that other people have it better. Instead of embracing what we do have and looking through the eyes of others, we risk losing the very people and places that should make us feel on top of the world. But, that is life and unfortunately our story.

It seems other people see the gem we have and if not careful they will snatch them up. Your loss, their gain. Then what? Silence…Regret…too late.

The Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama is one such place. Every year “Space Camp” is hosted there. Boys and Girls get to take part in the world’s largest wonder. They learn what astronauts do and get to simulate outer space missions. Daily tours are offered to adults with a museum of spectacular things. Adults can also hop aboard a rocket and see and feel what real astronauts experience. I am sure there is much more, but having never visited I cannot tell you what it might be.

Hopefully, after writing about this I will buy my ticket and visit.
