Roll Tide… the only sport I watch is Alabama football. I am a fan, but not a crazy, senseless one. In fact, some call me a ‘fence rider’ because in Alabama we have college football only, no pro teams to support, but there are two colleges that people choose from to support. One is the Alabama Crimson Tide and the other is the Auburn Tigers (War Eagle). I am partial to the Alabama Crimson Tide, but if they cannot fill the bill for National Champions then I will root for Auburn. My philosophy is at least one Alabama team might clinch that title. Thus, I am dubbed a ‘fence rider’.
The Tide has dominated college football for about 15 years now with the best ever college football coach, Nick Saban, as head coach. He is considered to be the best all time college coach ever for most, but Bear Bryant is considered the best to some. Either way, Alabama, wins because both coached the Tide for years and won.
Who knows the future with the Tide since Saban retired recently, but from looking at the past Alabama will triumph because they are winners. May take a few seasons, but rest assured it will happen. That is just what they do, always have and always will. Who knows? It may be time for Auburn to step up and if it is that time, then, War Eagle. But, for the present, I must yell, Roll Tide.
