You know what? These days grand mothers can have kids because moms are becoming younger and younger, but that is another story for another day. Back to the question…
I often wonder why God made women to bear and raise children in their youth. It seems to me that women with wisdom would be a better fit and wisdom only comes with age, right? It takes energy to raise children and in our latter years our energy is spent, but oh, the wisdom we have acquired. Hopefully, that is. So, having wisdom seems to me what children would benefit from and that usually comes when we are older. Thus, the question of ‘Why?’
Concentration, watching 24/7, running hear and there, discipline, making nutritious meals, baths, and let’s not forget the bedtime stories that go into raising children. So, most definitely one needs lots of energy to fulfill these duties and as the children get older you will probably need more. But, where is the wisdom that is so needed when raising children? The grandparents have the wisdom, but not the energy. And we all know that most parents want to make their own decisions leaving the grandparents with little or no say in such matters.
I wonder if this is the reason we have so many unruly, disrespectful latchkey kids. If only the grandparents with stored wisdom from experience no less could intervene I believe the world would be a different place. I see so many young women ( alot not married ) having kid after kid. Where is the wisdom in that? They struggle to make ends meet and the stress levels must be over the top. What happens then? Well, the children suffer, that’s what happens. They are neglected, abandoned, pushed away and sadly, some are abused.
The older grandparents hopefully have enough wisdom to give these kids if allowed, but to raise them would be a great feat because while acquiring wisdom through the years they have depleted their stamina tanks. Some are doing it anyway out of necessity but I know this can not be good for their health. Their time of rest and relaxation is given up to raise children. God bless all those that have done or are doing this job. It is a job. The most important one besides walking with God that there will ever be.
So, why does God give the job of raising kids to the youth when the elder would be best? Well, these are only my thoughts on the subject. If you have any thoughts, please share. I do not think God made this order. I believe we made this order. How? Keep reading.
A woman’s fertile years range from 15 to 40ish to be safe. Today, the female population is so caught up in having a boyfriend (some doing whatever it takes to land one) that sex is sometimes used to ensnare one. Thus, babies are created much of the time. So, who is at fault here? Hopefully, you know it is the grandparents fault. Whether they do not talk to their kids teach their kids, keep their eyes on them, discipline them or give them God, one or more of these are the reasons young girls are having babies. You cannot blame someone for doing things they are not taught.
The best path is to stay in school, talk with your parents, find out what you are passionate about and pursue it, and by all means get God. After pursuing your dream, then ask God to send that man specifically made for you to dinner. By now, you have gained some wisdom and the clicking clock can stop. It is time for children if you desire them. If not, that is perfectly OK. BTW, with so many children needing homes through adoption or fostering, your clock does not have to play a factor. At anytime you can open your heart and home to a child that needs it and begin to pass that wisdom you’ve acquired on to them.
The grandparents place is to help, if needed, by giving the parent a break from time to time and sitting with the grandkids. I believe we can muster up enough energy to do this for a day or two. Especially if the child has been taught about God. A cakewalk sitting this would be because most likely the child is well-mannered and respectful.
My last note on this subject is this: all things have a ripple effect so if you give God to your children and they listen then wisdom can come even in youth because God is wisdom. We can have both wisdom and energy if we get God. Please share any thoughts on this matter.
