Happiness Comes from Within:

I have lived many places and each has it’s own things that I enjoyed, but the place has nothing to do with my enjoyment of the ‘things’. A place cannot make you happy nor can it make you unhappy. That is all up to the person and where their heart is at the time. As Paul said that he had learned to be content in any and all situations so must we in order to enjoy what is around us.

Having much can make a person happy or unhappy just as having little can do the same. When my heart is right and my dependence is on God, I can be happy no matter where I live. When I trust God and know that nothing happens in this world unless He allows it I am free to enjoy whatever comes my way knowing He could be trying to teach me something (always for my good) causes me to look for Him in a situation that otherwise could seem ‘not good’. He is there in every situation if only I will look for Him. Seek Him. Find Him.

There have been times when I absolutely did not believe God was in a situation. If I thought the situation needed a turnover then I could and did discount it as Satan. But, it was God, always God and wisdom knows this. It is hard to look deep into the mirror. It is an ugly sight, but if I want to grow into being more like Him I must look deep and long. The other side is wonderful. We lose sight of this sometimes.

Lord, hear me, shine Your face upon me, show me Your ways and teach me to obey. As I seek Your face, let me find You, know You more and love wherever You have planted me this season. Let me grow in Your grace and beauty at all times.
