Save the Trees

The most important invention in my lifetime would be the computer. The computer stores everything needed. In turn, this cuts down on the need for paper which saves trees. I’m not a tree hugger as some call it, but I do believe the way we as Americans, not to mention everyone else, are so spoiled and have to have everything and more that trees would be obsolete soon.

Just myself using paper to make lists and I make many is enough to slew a forest alone. Add 200 more ‘me’s’ and trees would top the endangered species list. No joke. But, with the internet, my phone which is my computer, and my long lists of ‘to dos’ trees are saved.

Can you imagine a world with no trees? How horrible and lean that must look. Trees bring beauty to the world, color to the seasons and shade to so many animals that without them, who knows what might happen.

Also, computers save space. Imagine how much space would be needed to house all the data that computers house. We wouldn’t have enough room for it. The accuracy of a computer is much better than a human being. Sure, things go wrong and mistakes happen, but a lot less likely with a computer.

Time is saved with the computer. If we had to look through papers to retrieve information it could take an eternity to find if found. With a computer, a push or two of a key and there you have it. Saving needed time for other things.

With these reasons alone and I’m quite sure there are many more this says computers are the most important invention of all time.
