Sharing

What are best friends for if not to share with? This sharing includes things you may have more than needed of, sharing news, whether it be good or bad, dumping emotionally on them and vice versa, of course. We must remember this is a two-way street. In order to have a friend, you must be a friend, right?

So, when receiving great news, you want to share this with your biggest supporter, your BFF. My BFF just happens to be my husband. He has been my BFF for over 25 years now. I share everything with him to the point that I’m sure he wishes secretly at times that boundaries be set, lol. But, for the most part he handles the role of BFF well. I can only hope I reciprocate in turn.

As I sit writing this, I ask myself ‘Why?’. Why is the first thing I do when getting fantastic news that I share the news with him? Well, firstly, anything I have or get, including news of any kind, usually benefits him in some way. Just like anything else I have he is included in the outcome. We are one, just as the Bible says so if I benefit, he benefits. If I suffer, he suffers and likewise with him.

Let’s say I win the lottery, really we both win the lottery. Anything I buy from my winnings he gets to enjoy as well. Both of our names are on the checking and savings accounts. The winnings from the lottery will be deposited in this account where we both have access to the funds. The money is ours, not mine or only his, but both of ours. The same is true of anything else, a shared life and life’s possessions or incidents between BFF’s. I wouldn’t have it any other way or with any other person. Life is meant to be shared and shared with those you trust and love. So, here’s to BFF’s all around the world. Cheers!!
