Social Media to me is good for one thing and one thing only. To be able to reach lots of people and share with them things and experiences that have blessed my life and the path taken to do this is why I use social media. I set a page up on Facebook called ‘When God Speaks’ and as I am led to share my journey I simply post a post about my experience. I have found that there are so many others that need to hear what I may have done to overcome something or may need to know they are not alone in how they feel and or are going through at the time or just need to hear encouraging words lifting up their spirit knowing this too shall pass. Words have an amazing effect on people which is why we should always be careful of what comes out our mouths. Words can uplift or tear down and we all need take note of this wisdom and use it in ways that help, not harm.
Social Media is an avenue that reaches so many people everywhere and reaches them quickly. I am not a Facebook nut, nor Twitter, Instagram or any of the many others. I don’t blow myself up by telling lies, nor do I put people down in underhanded ways. If I have something to say to another it will be private and personal. No one has to guess who I might be talking about in riddles because I just do not take that path. Anything I post is about me first and what is going on with me. No blame is placed, no angry outbursts given nor any other negativity comes out in my writings on social media. There is absolutely no judgement given out because I am in no way able to judge another. Just straight up, honest words showing decisions made at different forks in the road at different times in my life. Sometimes decisions were not good – other times they were, but if I can help someone else by sharing my journeys then so be it. That was the reason all along to lay open my life with all it’s good, bad, ugly and indifferent experiences with the last three taking up most of those times. But, in the end even those were turned around mostly and if not I learned a lot going through them.
So, social media to me is a platform to be used to help others if at all possible.
