There are many different things people would say is the most important thing to carry with you all the time. ID is one, a phone number for help, a phone because today lives are lived and died on a phone. Money for a taxi cab or uber or some might say a picture of a loved one. So many different things to be placed at the top.
For myself, it is wise words from a king, the King of kings to be exact. Joshua 1:8 says, ‘This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night being careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then, you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success.’ And David says in Psalm 119:11, ‘I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You’.
These are just a couple verses telling us what is most important and doesn’t cost any money at all. There is a cost however which is putting aside wrongdoing and following God to the best you can and when you slip up and you will, just repent, get up, shake off the dust and carry on.
For myself, this is most important and it is light to carry. I won’t leave home without it. Neither should you.
