I would like to know exactly where my money that is taken by the government is going? We only know what we are told and I’m not to hip on that. Taking the word of a politician? We only have the word of the person or entity that takes and uses it. I need something more concrete and visible. Like an audit.
I feel if I am the one earning the money I have a right to know exactly how it is used. My usages would be quite different than those that take it. My concerns are for the less fortunate, the homeless, the children with cancer and no insurance or money for comfort things such as hotels for the families and such.
The way my money is spent is my business or should be. If I don’t pay a fine I owe it becomes an issue. I don’t want to pay for the government officials Lexus or Hummer while I drive a Nova. I don’t want to pay for elaborate meals with wine while I eat beans & rice. I don’t want to pay for a wardrobe straight from Macy’s while I shop at WalMart when I can no longer hide the holes in my sweats. Just doesn’t seem right and it never sits well with me.
Education is a topic that most talk about funding. I think differently. Education is important, but only to those that have goals. Most today do not have many goals. So, throwing money at Education ain’t going to fix that one. Money can’t fix dumbness, laziness, and low motivation. This begins at home with parents being the example and disciplinarian.
How many limos, planes, and bodyguards does the President need? If someone wants him dead, a way will be found. The saying, ‘Where there is a will, there is a way’ is true. The cost of his travels must be astronomical and we pay for this. Ridiculous.
Look at all the empty buildings that sit vacant, but my money goes into building new ones when absolutely nothing is wrong with the old ones. I cannot update or renovate my dwelling whenever I want; yet my money is used to do just that for people in one year and out the next. Then, repeat.
I just feel an audit should be prepared yearly for people to see truthfully where their money is going. This will never happen I’m sure because if so outrage would occur and who knows what else. But, the topic of where my money is being spent with an answer to go along would make me quite happy. How about you?
