The answer to how I manage screen time for myself? I don’t. I need to. I want to. I plan to, but in short, I do not manage screen time for myself at all. A sad thing, I know and I am believing I will come to manage this part of life soon.
I remember very recently watching other people with their phones and remarking how ridiculous that was. Now, here I sit posting about how unmanageable my screen time is. Be careful what you speak and surmise about others because it can come back and bite you.
The time I spend shopping online takes up close to one third of daily life. I used to hate shopping and avoided malls like the plague, but when online shopping became available, oh boy is all I can say. I love shopping. No one can compete with me and online shopping. An addiction, unfortunately and one that needs to be beat. One day?
I will give another one third of daily life to googling. I google everything literally. If something crosses my mind, I google. Google and I are best friends. The information I can get is unbelievable. Hey, Google??
Then, we have phone calls and texting which is not as much given time, but some indeed. Let’s not forget about Facebook. Has to account for a fourth easily when combined with calls and texting.
So, we have most of the day accounted for and as can be seen leaves nothing much for other things. I am quite sure what small amount of time left is spent somewhere online if not only in my dreams. Something must give and screen time is the problem that must give. Wish me luck.
