If I could ban a word from general usage it would be hands down the Lord’s Name taken in vain. GD is the initials and even using the initials makes me squirm. I despise this word for many reasons, the first being He damns no one. We do the damning, not God. When this word is used the speaker’s vocabulary shows for what it is – limited, uneducated and in need of a course in English as well as an overhaul of spirituality.
Of course, we have those that believe it makes them look cool, mean and scared of no one. In reality it only makes them look childish and limited in the English language area. Maybe they will learn one day and educate themselves for this look they wear is clownish and childish.
Day by day our language changes some, but most words can be overlooked – not that one however. Not by me nor many others. We understand the implications when using this word. It begins by asking the person saying it to please refrain when in our presence. One person at a time and before you know it we will have one less ‘bad word’ in the English vocabulary.
