Stevie Wonder: The daily writing prompt was to name the most famous or infamous person I have ever met. Only one famous person and he is Stevie Wonder. I met him at a Christian rehab in 1996. His 2nd cousin was there in rehab and he came to visit. While there, he performed for the residents and being a staff member at the time, I was able to spend a little time with him and of course, a picture was taken of us. A small Alabama town where treatment was absolutely free of charge was the place this occurred. So, you never know what God might put in front of you in the least possible places. Who would have ever guessed that Stevie Wonder would take the time to travel to a small town and associate with us commoners, lol. BTW, he is the most down to earth person you could meet. No different than you or myself.
He taught me a lesson early in life. That lesson being we are all God’s children, none better, none less than. We all have the same feelings, dreams, and tragedies that others have. The difference is what will you do with them? Remember, it is not the final destination that matters most. It is the…

In Three Years: The question, ‘What will your life be like in three years?’ This question cannot be answered with assurance. No one knows what their life will be like tomorrow, much less in three years. So, a better and more accurate question would be, ‘What do you hope your life will be like in three years?’

July 2, 1964 – the Civil Rights Act is the historical event that most fascinates me. This law prohibited segregation of blacks and whites in public places. I can only wonder how people felt (really felt inside), not how they thought they should feel, but how they really felt. This day and time in history was the beginning of bringing human beings together. Yes, it took time and still even now, there are glimmers of objection to it in some places and hearts, but for the most part it has ended. Thank God for this.
