I write this post because I want to warn some people that have experienced a loss so heavy and painful and sudden that they would give anything for one more moment with their loved one, to be on guard. This message is for you. Words of wisdom.
I recently experienced this same loss and it was so crushing that I began to do things I should not have. These things seemed innocent enough and being so broken and overcome by grief I thought nothing of it. I found myself talking to my husband who had just passed. Asking him questions and pleading for him to watch over me. I even asked him for a sign that he was still with me. Instead of the living God, I resorted to the dead for guidance all unknowingly. It was not the dead, but evil spirits that I was trying to communicate with. Thank God no answers or signs came because I was at my most vulnerable point and wanting to connect in some way to my late husband I am not sure what I would have done if I had been successful. More than likely I would have embraced it and needless to say spiraled downward to the total destruction of myself forever.
Grief is probably the most effective emotion used to bait someone with to deceive them. Once deceived recovery usually doesn’t happen. Deceived people don’t know they are deceived. They feel comforted. They feel that God heard their cries and is answering them. They feel validated. So, deception has become their truth.
Our loved ones that pass before we do cannot commune with the living nor can the living commune with the dead. God does not allow this. We are to commune with God. It may seem like you are doing something special for them or being loyal to them. Keeping them close in a way, but if they have connected with you I assure you that whatever it is you believe to be your loved one it is not. It is evil. It is dark. It wants to destroy you and chances are if not stopped immediately that it will succeed in doing so. These are demonic spirits and they are very real.
If you have been doing this, stop now. Renounce this thing and look to God for protection. Don’t look back. Stay focused on the one, true God of all comfort and He will pull you through placing your feet on solid ground – His Word.
