I Can’t Pay the Bills…

Daily writing prompt
What’s something you used to worry about but don’t anymore?

If you are anything like me then when bill paying time rolls around and you look at that pile versus the money fund pile you freak. How will I pay all these with that? Adding, subtracting, moving money here, then moving it back, teeth clenching, sweat pouring, nerves raw, it is enough to make the toughest crumble. It just cannot be done, right?

Yet, somehow, some way, God way it gets done. This happened to me so much I’m surprised I’m still here. I never figured out how it happened and I tried, but it did and God did it. But, come hell or high water every single month this phenomenon occurred and every single month my emotions went awol for a minute until God stepped in. You know when He stepped in? When I quit flipping out. When I quit trying to figure out how I, catch that? I was going to fix it. Until I got out of the driver’s seat, God’s hands were tied. Until I let go of the reigns God could only wait.

Today, I don’t stress on this. I would like to believe that with age I gained wisdom, but not the way it happened. I just got so tired of contending monthly with this that I gave up. Did not care anymore. What will be is gonna be and frankly, I could care less which side won out.

Suddenly my eyes were opened and I could see clearly. I controlled nothing. I only was allowed to be here and enjoy this place God had created for me. It was all Him and if I believed what He said then I would enjoy this life and allow God to be God and me to be the creation. That is the way we were to play our roles, so to speak. Guess what? Everything got done the right way.

That is something I used to worry about, but don’t anymore.
